“A good sense of humour is an escape value for the pressures of Life.”

A good sense of humour is a person’s greatest asset. The skill helps you connect and interact easily with others, improve health as you tend to laugh more, and also help others diffuse their difficult times. You don’t have to be funny to have a sense of humour; you have to learn to see the lighter side of things.

We get tired of running the rat race that we forget even to smile. Always living under pressures and challenges of ever-demanding life we lose the happy being within us and snap even at a drop of a hat.

I learnt a compelling lesson as I walked into an ATM to withdraw money, I was greeted by a gentleman who opened the door for me. I smiled and went in without paying much attention and was trying to pick a machine from which I could withdraw.

While I was figuring out, he was ready to exit and said something to me. I listened to him with full attention. The moment I heard what he said, I burst out laughing. He told me to use the ATM right behind me as it was giving out more funds than what I wanted to withdraw. Before I could even react he was gone having made my day.

Humour is an antidote for frustration and anger.
