|| Jai Shree KrsnaGuru ||
Om Shree KrsnaGuru Natha Nathaya: Shree Guruve Namah:

KrsnAshram is dedicated solely for the Spiritual development of a ‘true and sincere’ seeker. We at KrsnAshram are the proponents of Lord Shree Krsna and follow the path of Bhakti – Love and Devotion unto the Lord Krsna. We revere our KrsnaGuru-ji as God/Krsna himself. Our Guruji isn’t concerned with the material world. His focus is only on Spirituality. Those who are interested otherwise should seek experts and specialists who are better qualified to address the personal problems that you may have.

Historically, Ashrams have been organized around set-of rules and regulations. These guidelines serve the disciples or devotees to adhere to and maintain a conducive environment for spiritual development. These rules encourage self-discipline for practising the spiritual Sadhana that is required towards spiritual advancement and assists the Ashram inmates to coexist in harmony. A robust spiritual community, in turn, benefits each of its members towards their individual spiritual growth.

The rules and regulations of Ashram should be carefully read and diligently followed. Residents of KrsnAshram are required to observe the guidelines earnestly for creating a harmonious atmosphere for spiritual Sadhana for themselves and the community as a whole. The success of the KrsnAshram Spiritual community is not dependent on its organization, the size of its members, or its external achievements. Instead, its bedrock is the inner spiritual evolution of each of its disciples. Therefore, the Ashramites need to continue to deepen their spiritual sadhana and strive to evolve in their spiritual progress under the tutelage of their Spiritual Master.

With the above perspective, all KrsnAshramites are requested to follow the significant traditional observances taught from the scriptures – To be Kind, Compassionate, Benevolent, Loving, Caring, Truthful, Non-violent, Generous, Giving, Obedient, Forgiving, and be one’s Goodself. The sixfold virtues or qualities consist of Shama (Calmness of mind), Dama (Self-restraint), Uparati (Self-withdrawal), Titiksha (Forbearance), Samadhana (One-pointedness), and Shraddha (Faith).

KrsnAshram Guidelines:
  1. At all times, behave as if the KrnaGuru is looking at you. Because the Guru indeed is always present.
  2. The disciple’s behaviour and attitude, while at the Ashram premise, should respect the Ashram culture and etiquettes. The Ashram should not be treated like a house or social resort or a place for vacation.
  3. Disciples should respect the authority of the Guru and encourage mutual respect, civil, and congenial relationships which are free from all forms of malice, violence or harassment.
  4. Disciples should use respectful language with each other and avoid negative gossiping, bullying, disregarding the authority in-charge and the Guru’s command.
  5. Seva – Selfless service: Seva is an integral part of the daily schedule of the Ashram. Seva provides an opportunity for the disciples and the guests to participate in the upkeep of the Ashram. All seekers in the Ashram who are fit and able are expected to contribute a min of two hours daily towards activities such as cleaning, gardening, washing dishes, chopping vegetables, etc., as may be assigned to them. Selfless service unto the Lotus feet of the Guru and the Ashram helps one in the cleansing of their sins/karmas and purify their heart and mind – the process of evolving on the path of Spirituality.
  6. The Ashramites and the guests in the Ashram are expected to devote maximum time for Sadhana (spiritual practice), Seva (selfless service) and Svadhyaya (spiritual study), strictly following the daily ashram routine as ordained by the Guru and Ashram authority.

Pets are not allowed. Photography, Audio, Video recordings are only permitted during Satsangs and Celebrations with the permission of the Ashram Authority.
  8. Use of electronic gadgets, including mobile phones/tablets, etc., is strictly off the limits while doing Seva, eating food, and especially during Satsangs/Prayers.
  9. Disciples should not make PDAs (Public display of affection). Celibacy is a part of the spiritual discipline and to be strictly followed while staying at the Ashram.
  10. Dress Code: Modest dress is a must for everyone staying or visiting the Ashram – All guests (both men and women) are advised to dress modestly. As shorts, sleeveless shirts, midriff, tight-fitting, transparent or other revealing clothes (Women should be careful to cover their cleavage at all times) are prohibited in the Ashram premises.
  11. Small children are generally not allowed to stay in the Ashram as it disturbs the Sadhana (spiritual practice) of others. Children should be kept under strict supervision at all times by the parents during their visit to meet with the Guru. If not kindly refrain from bringing your children along.
  12. Accommodation at KrsnAshram – KrsnAshram currently, is a small rented house with a couple of permanent inmates who live with the Guru. Therefore, we at KrsnAshram ‘DO NOT’ provide any accommodations to the disciples/guests. All those who want to visit for either short or long duration of stay should make their own living arrangements either by renting a guest-house or hotel that is closer to the Ashram. The Ashram authority will help refer or provide contacts of the realtors or agents who can help find a place depending upon the duration of the stay. All ‘EXPENSES’ will have to be borne by the disciples/guests. The Ashram ‘IS NOT’ liable for the financial negotiations, payment terms and conditions or defaults if any either to the hotel or house rented by the disciples/guests. However, in the future when we do have our wholly-owned premise for KrsnAshram, we will take care of all the requirements for permanent inmates who have samarpan of their means to KrsnaGuru and will receive only what is offered by the Guru. Besides, the permanent inmates’ for all others, it is essential to have prior permission to stay in the KrsnAshram. The right of admission/permission to visit/stay at the Ashram is reserved and solely at the discretion of the Ashram Authority. Those who stay only for a time short or long must contribute to the expenses a monthly sum which is collected as a donation fixed by the KrsnAshram, and you will have to pay in advance at the time of the booking in-full. Guests must sign a consent that the KrsnAshram Authority will ‘Not be liable’ for any claims that arise in any way from any loss, harm, injury, or death of that minor during their stay at the KrsnAshram or in any way related to the individual’s or their families visit.
  13. Personal Belongings: The KrsnAshram cannot accept responsibility for the disciples’ or guests’ personal belongings.
  14. Travel/Transportation Arrangements: All disciples/guests visiting the Ashram have to make their own travel/transportation arrangements to and from the Ashram. The Ashram will ‘NOT’ provide or organize any pick-up or drop facility for the disciples/guests.
  15. Food: KrsnAshram will provide basic ‘Sattvic’ meals to those who visit the Ashram. We follow strict timing of serving breakfast, lunch, Tea/Coffe and Dinner. We follow a systematic way of serving the food. We first offer the food to our Guru, and once he partakes of the offering, only then we eat. We also recommend you taking small servings and then going back for more. It is a practice in our KrsnAshram not to waste or throw food since we believe it is God’s Prasad (blessed food). This, by itself, is a form of Sadhana practised to overcome the senses. In India, as the left hand is generally used for personal hygiene, we avoid using the left hand when interacting with others. In Indian Ashrams, meals are served traditionally by sitting on the floor and eating with the right hand. It is considered rude to offer anything or serve food, etc., with the left hand. Eat, receive and give (especially prasad, food, and scriptures) with your right hand.
  16. Footwear/Feet: Footwear is not allowed in the KrsnAshram premise. One must leave the footwear outside the premise in the space provided. Avoid pointing feet or crossing your legs at the Guru or the altar as this is considered disrespectful and a sin.
  17. KrsnAshram Library: In KrsnAshram, we revere all scriptures and holy books as Goddess of Knowledge. We pay utmost respect and revere them as the ultimate or sole and priceless possession of our Guru. It is considered disrespectful to place the feet or sit on books or use the books on the bed or pillow. Disciples/Guests are ‘NOT’ allowed to touch the books. You are requested to reach out to the Ashramites to assist you in picking the book from the bookshelf. Also, kindly ensure that the book is returned in the same condition as it was handed to you for reading. We ‘DO NOT’ lend any books for reading outside the Ashram premise.
  18. Medical and Healthcare: The disciples/guests are advised to carry with them their regular and other emergency medicines which are prescribed by their doctor. The Ashram authority is not liable for any injury, harm, loss, or death that occurs due to the absence of medication or medical facilities at the Ashram.

The KrsnAshram reserves the right to revise and modify the Rules and Regulations periodically as deem fit. No one has the right to question the Ashram Guidelines and Policies.

KrsnAshram’ Puja/Prayer/Arati Vidhi: The word ‘Puja’ is derived from the root Puj, meaning “to worship.” Puja also means “to honour, revere, consecrate, and respect.” We perform Puja, the loving offerings of flowers, fruits or food, water, the lighting of lamps, incense, waving of light, and songs; and the recitation of prayers, mantras and invocations to the divine. In KrsnAshram we perform Puja to our ‘KrsnaGuru’ who is the Parabramha Himself. Our Guru is the embodiment of God. We believe that the worship of our KrsnaGuru is the worship of Lord Krsna himself. When the Guru is worshipped, all the Gods and Goddess are pleased with the offerings. Guru Puja is the way of expressing our gratitude and honouring the lineage of ‘Supreme Spiritual Masters’ who have been the custodians of the knowledge of the Self. Worshipping Guru is the highest form of payer one can ever offer. It is indeed the greatest blessing one can be bestowed upon only with the Grace of the Guru Himself.

Prayers help to aid the feeling of humility, humbleness, and devotion to the God/Guru. Prayers are usually in Sanskrit and are recited at the beginning and end of each class or ceremony. We invoke the blessings of Ganesha to remove obstacles, Saraswati for knowledge and Salutations to the Guru. Arati, a flame symbolizing the light of knowledge is waved before the images of deities and to the Guru while chanting the prayers or mantras. Traditionally, camphor is burned as it does not leave a residue. Similarly, the ego vanishes without a trace when incinerated by the dawning of knowledge by the grace of the Guru. Once the Arati is finished, the light waved is accepted as a form of blessing, blessed food is known as ‘Prasad’ is offered to all after the Guru has partaken.

The above Puja/Prayers are performed every day in the Ashram at the specified timings. On Thursdays, we do a special Puja as it is the day of the ‘Guru’ the most auspicious day of all. Besides, KrsnAshram will publish a calendar of festivals and other celebrations that happens throughout the year. Everyone is invited to participate in the festivities. Please do look for the dates and invitations on our website.

KrsnAshram Temple Guidelines: Temples are the place of worship. The sanctity of the temples should be maintained at all times. One is required to bathe and wear clean, modest clothing before entering the KrsnAshram or Temple premise. Silence should be maintained. Women should not visit the temple or participate in the rituals during their monthly menstrual period. The disciples/guests are required to adhere to and follow the KrsnAshram’s Puja tradition and Culture. Our practices are based solely as prescribed in the Scriptures, which is taught by our KrsnaGuru-ji. We strictly ‘DO NOT’ allow Puja traditions or methods to be practised in KrsnAshram from elsewhere.

Satsangs/Classes: Satsang refers to as the coming together of the seeker of the Truth. In KrsnAshram our Guru conducts various Satsangs such as group classes or one-on-one. The Guru allocates the timing for all individual satsangs. The group sessions are informed on the KrsnaKnows official website or on various social media platforms and groups. Attendance at all group satsangs and classes is mandatory for all the Ashramites. As a mark of respect for the Teacher and as a practice of self-discipline, disciples/guests are required to be before time and to remain for the duration of each program. Our KrsnaGuru is exceptionally particular about the timings. He believes in punctuality and everyone to stick to their schedules and their commitments.

Meeting with KrsnaGuru: Let me explain who KrsnaGuru is – ‘KRSNA’ means secretive, one who cannot be known. Krsna is the ultimate ‘Truth’ and ‘Supreme’ Consciousness. Krsna is the ‘Supreme Personality of Godhead. He is the Supreme Self and SatChidAnand (Truth, Knowledge, Bliss). ‘GURU’ – The word ‘Gu’ means destroyer or remover and ‘Ru’ means darkness or ignorance. Therefore, a Guru is the destroyer of our ignorance. The word ‘Gu’ also means ‘Gunaheet’ meaning beyond Gunas, qualities or attributes and ‘Ru’ means ‘Rupavarjita’ meaning beyond all forms or formless. Therefore, the Guru is the One who has transcended the mind, body, senses, and the three Gunas. ‘Gu’ also denotes the spiritual ignorance and ‘Ru’ denotes the light of spiritual knowledge. Therefore, KrsnaGuru is the One who dispels the darkness of spiritual ignorance in his disciples and illumines them with spiritual knowledge through spiritual experiences.

The Guru is the Tattva or the Teaching Principle of God, is Nirgun or Unmanifest. The unmanifest Guru pervades the entire Universe at all times. The unmanifest Guru works through some of the evolved individuals who are known as the sagun or manifest Guru in the human form – ‘Gurur Sakshat Parabrahma.’ The Guru in the human form is the beacon of spiritual knowledge for guiding the sincere spiritual seekers on the path of Spirituality and towards God-Realization. The Guru initiates the few chosen ones formally into the world of Spirituality according to his discretion. The twice-born disciples enter the world of Spiritual by giving up their materially worldly relationships. From that day, the Guru becomes the Mother, Father, Teacher, and every other relationship. The true disciples commit their life in service of their Guru by taking refuge unto the Lotus Feet of their Guru. KrsnaGuru is Omniscient, Omnipotent, and Omnipresent, is all-knowing and guides every student on a one-on-one basis to further his or her spiritual progress. No one can benefit from his teachings without paying him their dues the ‘GURU DAKSHINA’. Please note that there is ‘NO FREE LUNCH’, even in God’s heaven.

KrsnaGuru is an ‘Avadhut’ who is eternally free from the materially worldly existence. He doesn’t covet any family or wealth nor has any desires. KrsnaGuru is a desireless being and serves everyone selflessly by imparting the profound knowledge about the Truth. Our Guru loves everyone like his own family. We are all part of the Vasudeva Kutumbam (Krsna’s Family). Our KrsnaGuru doesn’t ask for money or any other thing for his time or imparting knowledge. Those who willing on their own offer him Guru Dakshina or any other offerings he will accept which is used for the running of the KrsnAshram. He doesn’t make use of any of the offerings be it in cash, kind or gifts for his personal needs.

To meet with KrsnaGuru, you need to call the KrsnAshram office mobile number +91 7972983927, or you can send a message either on Facebook messenger or on WhatsApp to fix the appointment. You will need to stick to your meeting schedule. Our Guru is very particular about the timings. He doesn’t like people coming late for the meetings, and he also doesn’t want to continue beyond your prescribed schedules. Our KrsnaGuru is ‘Only’ interested in helping you on your spiritual journey. He is not here to solve your personal problems related to your family, marriage, children, job, health, or money. Kindly refrain from coming to seek personal favours or fulfil your endless demands. Please don’t come with your yard-stick to judge our Guru. KrsnAshram door is open for everyone. You are free to walk-in and free to walk-out. We don’t force anybody to follow our KrsnaGuru. If you do on your own will then you will need to follow the rules and regulations of the KrsnAshram diligently.

How do you pay Respects to the Guru: Paying respects to the Guru is by touching the feet of the Guru as soon you enter the Ashram, serving the Guru, and taking care of all his personal needs. Singing his glories and praises. Seeking his blessings, remembering and meditating on the name of the Guru and his Lotus Feet are followed as part of the KrsnAshram Spiritual Tradition which is mentioned in our Holy Scriptures.

Dhyanamoolam Guru Murti
Pujamoolam Guru Padam
Mantra Moolam Guru Vakyam
Moksha Moolam Guru Kripa

Meditation and contemplation are of Guru’s Form. Real worship is of the Guru’s Feet. The basis of all mantras is the Guru’s words. The bestowal of liberation is only by the Grace of the Guru.

Before you enter the KrsnAshram kindly leave your Ego, Arrogance and Chappal Outside the Door.
