The millennials are finding it extremely difficult to overcome the job and career scene today. Take for example a wannabe actress that I know about, finds it extremely tough to find roles for herself. A career minded young female, even though bestowed with the most amazing brain cannot find any foothold in any industry.
Another young man is trying to do as many courses as possible to make his cv heavy but he is not able to make headway in any openings. It is either the pay is too low or the timings are very skewed. The position may be open in a faraway location. Such is their plight.
Why do you think that is the case? Is it because they feel that they should get the creme de la creme job or position? Or is it that they feel they are cut out for something bigger in life? Whatever maybe the case, today most of these deserving persons are at the receiving end of the job search.
Outsourcing is the name of the game, that too at a lesser cost. So why would large corporations want direct employees and offer them unnecessary perks. The cost of maintaining an employee is extremely high. There are too many qualified persons vying for very little jobs out there so the multinationals prefer to outsource jobs. Countries like Vietnam or Bangladesh, Philippines and Srilanka are offering better alternatives so why wouldn’t you too consider these nations of teeming qualified persons for an opportunity which doesn’t necessarily mean direct job offers.
Such is the case in the world outside. Those who feign to have many job offers in hand and reveal to others the “I don’t care,” attitude are the ones who are terribly scared. They actually have no clue where they are heading. Confusion and thought of loosing out are confounding them. They have no idea about their future. Clinging at straws these hapless people succumb to some vague offers soon.
The millennials compromise and accept the life’s true colors and feel disillusioned. They become just like their own relatives who were no better. Blaming destiny and God they loose faith in the goodness of The Lord.
It’s time to stand up for who they truly are. They should not loose the idea of the good self. Rising above the mundane they should put all their faith in the divine and forge ahead. Trying harder than ever, they should persevere in their efforts at finding their niche in this world. Knowing fully well that there isn’t another one made like them. They are unique and one of a kind. God has not made them for giving up or throwing their arms down. They have to continue to struggle. Keep on plodding ahead. Some day it will be dawn and all their problems will come to an end. Till them they have to hold on to their dreams and aspirations and continue.
My advise to these youngsters is to keep on looking and surely one fine day they will get to their place on earth. They are like the jigsaw piece which fits into some unique space. It’s only in time and hard efforts can they find their space and true calling. Patience and faith are the two most important virtues they should hold on to. So now keep on looking. The horizon will soon appear.
