Never Succumb to the Circumstances of Bitterness.”

It is extremely easy to get trapped by the circumstances or by others expectations or perceptions that we get valued or respected by society. We all wanted to have a different direction in our lives, but we are held back by the insatiable desires or fears that are incompatible with that freedom. We succumb to the circumstances, even without our knowledge because we are ruled by the fears of our mind.

It reminds me of my dad, ex-Retd Indian Navy having fought in two wars Pakistan and Bangladesh (1971), gone through rigorous training, surviving all the challenges in the sub-marines, a football player at a National level and yet he got succumbed to the situations life threw at him.

The Top Gun forgot his true identity when he became a banker and lived the rest of his life fighting his dreams, fears, and people. I am sure we can see ourselves in a similar situation in our life too. The most important thing here is to remember, it is our character that defines who we become and never the circumstances. I am proud of my dad, who has stood at all times his values of honesty, truth, and discipline.

“I am not the product of my circumstances; I am the product of my attitude.”
