“The art of communication is the language of leadership.”
In life no matter what job you do, your success will be determined 5% by your academic credentials, 15% by your professional experiences, and 80% by your communications skills. Many problems in the world will disappear if we talk to each other instead of talking about each other. The biggest problem in communication is we don’t listen to understand, but we listen to reply. In this world of hypocrisy, nobody wants to hear the truth.
Being diplomatic is essential as you aren’t allowed or unable to express your opinions just because it might not be palatable to the world. Voicing yourself or fighting for your rights is unacceptable just because you have to pander to every individual’s ego so that you can survive in the unruly and unsafe world.
Know that beautiful words are not truthful while the truthful words are not beautiful. The real art of communication is not only to say the right thing in the right place but to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment. The effectiveness of communication is not how you communicate but how you respond. I firmly believe that communication works for those who work at it.
