“You don’t have to be smarter than others, but you have to be more disciplined than the rest.”
Self-discipline begins with the mastery of our thoughts. If we don’t control what we think, we cannot control what we do. Today I learnt a powerful lesson from my KrsnaGuru JI on self-discipline. He played a video on the life-story of Warrenbuffet in which he taught me one priceless lesson of being more disciplined in life.
Discipline is doing what we know needs to be done even if we don’t want to do it. I am sure you all have felt this way many times. Rejections are part of life, and nothing stops one from continuing to pursue one’s goals. You will never always be motivated. You have to learn to be disciplined. Harvard rejected Warren Buffet, and so did his mentor Benjamin Franklin reject him ten times before he accepted him as his intern.
Keep pushing yourself to become disciplined since no one will push you. I am always grateful to my KrsnaGuruji, who continuously will push me harder and harder by the day and drive me up the wall. There is no relaxing. It is all about how to keep evolving and become a better version of oneself.
“Work through tough determination and self-focus and discipline. You can accomplish anything in life.”
