This question, “Now What?” plagues everyone. Wherever you are, the question still remains with you.
So what is next? This uncertainty is so deep and profound with everyone. You may be in school or in your retirement state and yet this question becomes you.
The young student studying his final year in school wonders whether he can become an engineer or some kind of Wall Street money machine. Move ahead and the poor employee harassed by his villainous boss wants out of his job but is afraid to risk it.
The man who went high on matrimony wants out of his marriage but is afraid of his bleak future. He may lose his children or his entire
money in the savings in costly divorce.
The material worldly answer to that tough question is amazing too. “I don’t know!” Isn’t it the easiest answer to it? You are not even aware if there is any answer but soon you will progress and proceed. You go so far ahead that you aren’t aware that the universe gave you the answer. Aren’t you on your way ahead? But then again you hit the roadblock called “what now?” The question appears so frequently in your life that you are bored with it and hate it too. There is always a future for your life and you want to know it. You can go to any futurologist and ask them for the answer and he may give you some kind of an answer but you know very well that the answer is wrong. Your uncertainty remains firmly established forever.
In spiritual we aren’t so much as bothered with that question. There is no tomorrow or yesterday also. There is the Now alone. There isn’t anything to look forward to since it’s all so defined and perfectly in place. There is no anticipation for the morrow.
What has to be will be so what is there to fret about. There is dispassion always so what is there to be distracted or disturbed by? Dispassion kills all future desires and you are happy in the now to whatever that is right around you.
The idea of feeling fearful about someone or something doesn’t arise since the spiritual-being knows that he is alone and is completely detached. Detachment from the relationships that bothers every normal person. Be it connected to humans, animals, things or just fancies of the mind. There are no attachments to put you in a bind.
Be free and live like a king who had no kingdom in his name and yet considers this creation as his own. Giving up ownership, man learns to live free. Spiritual gives you that freedom.
